Nelson Mandela is one of my heroes. His gift to our world has been supreme. I read his story and it seems like his triumphs have always been etched into the face of Africa… like fate.

But that is the blessing of history... fact is he was a black man who was sentenced to jail... life imprisonment. His fate was far from certain, but he answered the call of his heart and persisted…

I think of Mandela when life seems dark and bleak and the outcome unsure.
