On my way home from school in Guyana, I would walk along the seawall. This poem is a memory...

It was a memory of myself
Walking a long way home
To be with the sea

Something about the
vastness, serenity and bodies...
Records playing...

Songs of drowning souls
Floating now on tides far beyond
Gifted my young mind
A haunting peace

The ocean taketh and the ocean giveth
Wisdom

Beauty and danger
Kiss behind the rocks...
While waves whisper to me

This is nature
This is life
here on Mother Earth
